Skim Shield LLC is a Florida company formed in 2007 to manufacture and provide specific safety aids for skim boarders world wide. We are located in Largo, Florida about 1,000 feet from the Intra Coastal Water Way and the Gulf of Mexico. Closest largest cities to us are Tampa Florida to the East and St. Petersburg to the South and Clearwater to the North.
Our unique products will also act as a fashion statement for those individuals committed to the sport and represent a badge of concern for the safety of all skimmers. At this time, we are unable to display our special products. We apologize but we do this so that we may properly trademark, register, copyright and patent our creations.
Skim Shield is the brain child of Robbie, Suzy and Stan who have spent countless hours on creative design while working out the practical aspects of need for the Skimmers of the world. Soon you will see our logos on several continents helping to improve the sport through better safety design.
Robbie Marino is the design genius and active Skimmer (surfer and skateboarder) who tests and develops our products. He not only knows the needs but practices every day for a better understanding of the sport and its needs. When Robbie is not skimming, he is taking photographs of various water sports to learn new and developing techniques. Board techniques are best learned observing first then in real practice. Sometimes photographs can help improve technique and style. Although originally from New York state, Robbie was an easy transplant to the warm waters of Florida and its Gulf Beaches. |
